2024 Year In Review
WOW! That’s all I can say when I think back and reflect on all the amazing progress and confirmations in my life during 2024!
It’s truly so important to take time to reflect. It helps you realize how much you’ve grown. It helps you appreciate the journey. And it helps you see how much God has blessed you in this life!
As I reflect, here are my top 10 highlights of 2024!
1) “Better World” concert series 🎤
Over the past year, I organized 35 concerts within 6 mini-tours that spanned through Washington, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Texas, New Mexico, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, North Carolina, and Arizona! In total, there were nearly 2000 attendees combined! WOW! 🙌🏽
The concerts have been a beautiful blend of community building and inspirational music to uplift all in attendance! Each and every one brought me such immense joy! 🩵

2) “I Hope I Do It Justice” album release 💿
I released “I Hope I Do It Justice”, which is my 8th Baha’i-inspired, spiritually focused hip hop album. The album centers on fatherhood, hip hop, spirituality, and justice, and is dedicated to my 2nd born son, Justice.
It’s a follow up to my 5th album, “Created Noble”, which was dedicated to my first born son, Noble.

3) “NBA (Noble Being Always)” and “Free” music videos 🎥
In May, I hosted a friendly community basketball tournament in my neighborhood, and my amazing friend and videographer, Joel Farias, filmed the action, turning into an official music video for my song “NBA (Noble Being Always)”. It’s an anthem for living a life of nobility!

In June, I released another official music video for my song “Free”, (shot by my long time friend and cinematographer, Brian Roth), which features some super cool interactive animations! It’s an anthem for living a life of peace and spirituality!

4) Rap Writing Workshops at Durango Juvenile Detention Center ✍🏽
Over the past few years, I’ve had the bounty to facilitate a bi-annual series of rap writing workshops at the Durango Juvenile Detention Center, along with the amazing Tetra String Quartet. It’s always such an inspiring and enriching experience, seeing the youth tap into their powers of expression and use it to promote positive change through the powerful art form of rap.
This year, ABC News came to film the workshop and featured it on the news!

5) Baha’i Inspired: Hip Hop Sessions 🖥️
In April, I was blessed to collaborate with my friend Naysan Naraqi (the founder of the popular blog and media platform, “Baha’i Blog”) to help launch a new YouTube series titled “Hip Hop Sessions”, which is part of a new channel he’s created, titled “Baha’i Inspired”.
We brought together a bunch of amazing rappers, singers, and instrumentalists from around the continent to Fresh and Free studios in Stratford, Ontario (founded and run by my dear friend, Karim Rushdy), and recorded a series of Baha’i inspired hip hop songs and videos with live instruments (including a few of my own creations!)

6) Amazing music growth ⬆️⬆️⬆️
It’s been truly humbling and inspiring to see my music continue to grow and reach more and more people! In 2024, my music reached a record high for number of listeners and streams! Across all streaming platforms, I had nearly 400,000 song streams. I’m SO INCREDIBLY grateful to every single person who takes the time to listen!

7) “Noble Creations” by my son, Noble 🎵
In June, my oldest son, Noble, released his first official music album, titled “Noble Creations” The album contains 8 amazing songs about some of his favorite topics, ranging from dinosaurs, to Pokémon, to his children’s class!

8) “Evolution” song series by my son, Justice
My middle son, Justice, also tapped into his musical talent and released a 3 part, mega-viral Pokémon-inspired song series titled “Evolution”. The 3 songs have amassed several million views on social media, and Justice has generated quite the fan following! It’s been truly incredible to witness!

9) Baby Cyrus birth story podcast episode 🎙️
It had been a while since I recorded any episodes for my “Elevated Conversations” podcast, but my wife, Mallory, and I really wanted to document the birth story of our family’s latest edition, baby Cyrus so we shared our experience via a podcast episode! (Cyrus was born in November 26, 2023, but we FINALLY got around to recording the podcast episode this past July!).

10) SO MUCH MORE music in the works!!! 🔥
Throughout all of this, I’ve been continuing to have so much creativity flow, and I’ve been writing a TON of new music! I’ve got another 4 music projects at various stages of development… so I will be sharing lots of updates soon in early 2025!
Please know, whenever someone takes the time to listen to my music, shares it with a friend, leaves an encouraging comment or message, buys merch, attends a concert, backs a crowdfunding campaign, literally any and all forms of support, it fills my spirit with so much gratitude and inspiration!
