2023 Year In Review
I always enjoy reflecting at the end of the calendar year to appreciate all the growth.
As I looked back on 2023, I couldn’t help but feel utterly humbled by the overwhelming number of blessings and confirmations I have received this year!
Here are my top 10 highlights of 2023!
1) Baby Cyrus joins our family! 🥰
(it’s been so heartwarming to see the love that his older brothers, Noble and Justice, have showered upon him!)
2) The “Be Happy” album was released (13 tracks featuring 15 incredible artists!) 💿
(collaborating with so many talented creatives brought me so much joy!)

3) I released a song for the #OurStoryIsOne campaign, in memory of the 10 Baha’i women who were unjustly executed in 1983 in Shiraz, Iran 🕊️
(researching the stories of these heroic women brought my spirit so much inspiration, and creating this song was a true honor)

5) I had so much music growth! 🎵
(i reached more listeners this year than I ever have! i pray i can continue to grow and reach more people in 2024!) Here’s my Spotify streaming stats for the year!

8) I continued collaboration with Tetra String Quartet to offer rap writing workshops for youth at the Durango Juvenile Detention Facility ✍🏽
(it’s so powerful to connect with the youth, and help them unlock their power of expression!)
Here’s a video put together by the Juvenile Detention Center highlighting our program!
9) I received an honored guest, Ngalim Franklin (Duke Franky) visiting from Cameroon 💚
(i volunteered with him in 2012, and he helped me start my journey as an artist!)
10) Our neighborhood children’s class graduated Grade 1! We’ll be starting Grade 2 in 2024! 🙏🏽
(it’s so precious to see Noble and Justice bond with their friends in the community!)
I am so grateful to God for these priceless bounties!
And I’m also so thankful to you and everyone who has supported me on this journey… it’s awe-inspiring!
Sending you love to end 2023!
